RPM Engineers Office Launching

I WAS asked to cover this event by a friend who is also a staff of this company. The event was to cover the launching of their new office which also includes the traditional Hari Raya Open House. This company consists of great bunch of people, cheerful and lively, not something you would expect from an engineering company. I believe it is because there’s a good mix of senior and young in the company, a well balanced formula hungry for success.

This event also draws a considerable number of VIPs to witness their historic moment in the direction of the company. I am also happy to be part of this event and hopefully can continue to work with them sometime in the future.

Cloudy Month

THE TITLE says it all. So far if my memory serves me right, the month of October was the month with the heaviest rainfall since the beginning of 2009, and is set to continue to this month as well. Maybe that’s why there is little wedding being held in this period of time, or it’s because we don’t have any bookings either, haha. Anyhow, this is the month that I have a little bit of space to do other things that I’ve almost forgotten to do, but still involves art & design in general. Maybe doing some proper filing system and exploring new software skills might help me in the future.

I have read in a magazine long time ago that although cloudy and rainy day might not bring vibrant colors in landscape shots, sometimes the dark weather can play in your part especially if you would like to convert the picture into a monotone / Black & white landscape. This is a good time to experiment further in landscape shots, but my problem is to find a nice location to do this experiment. So, if you guys out there have any idea about any good location to shoot good landscape please give me a buzz.

This entry is about one of my recent assignment about the reception of Azha & Liza at Presint 8 Putrajaya last month. A bit of outdoor shoot at my favorite location after the event does makes the day even more cheerful to us.

Outdoor location: Putrajaya Lake Club

Malacca Landscape

Photos & text by Ridhuan Abu Bakar (diwant)

On my way back to KL after a wedding job in Segamat the day after, I managed to drop by some places along the way and took some pictures. Here are the Eye On Malacca & the famous Tg Bidara beach. I planned to spend a night at Pengkalan Balak which is beside Tg Bidara, but soon I found out that Pengkalan Balak’s beach and chalet is not as privacy as I would have liked.

Life in the Fast Lane

I want to take  a bit of a break from wedding stuff for an entry or two. Because my passion and interest and art & design particularly in photography is general. While I love shooting people, I also have a fond interest in nature and landscape. When I worked in an interior design field for a few years before, I was trained to observed the environment and surrounding for fresh ideas and inspiration to implement it in any design concept.

Some people accidentally got into this field  for the money and there are people who do it because of pure passion. But true entrepreneur take both worlds and blends it into a single entity, hence a business. That’s why there a few people who really succeed in their business and most of them just merely able to sustain it as a part time job. So, in order to succeed in what you do, you have to learn or be inspired by the successful entrepreneur who has made it to the top. Learn what they so, observe how they work, and try to implement the strategies into your own business. The latter is what most of us find it very difficult to venture into.

I have my own sets of entrepreneurs that I really looked up to and respects them highly. These people have succeeded beyond most of the people out there who at their best only criticize them and  talk big about themselves. “You don’t find the cable, you create them” a wise man said. That may not suit the mainstream business community, but nonetheless they proved it and they’ve been successful by enforcing their principles. These people have made the sacrifices of their lives, mostly beyond what we can imagine, just to ensure that their life won’t be the same again. Although there were some hiccups along he way, including the infamous dengki mendegki, what we really need to learn and study is their determination, drive and discipline to succeed. How they put the energy to achieve something is what most of us including me can only dream of. “If there is a will, there’s always a way”.

THAT what we really need to emulate…

I would like to end this article with the rain soaked pre- race Moto GP at Sepang last weekend. My body was washed up by the thunderstorm but luckily the camera got adequate protection…
